Helen first came to Stanford as a student in the Learning Design and Technology Masters student. Inspired by her time teaching high school math in Kentucky, her research and design work focused on teacher retention and informal ways that teachers can build community, agency and belonging. She worked to bridge educational research and practice at the Center to Support Excellence in Teaching. As the research project manager at the EduNLP Lab, she gets to collaborate across projects and reconnect with math classrooms (the best classrooms!).
